I’m pleased to report that I’ve really been enjoying the new satellite antenna system and its been working flawlessly, I’ve still been hanging out on the FM Birds (AO-27,SO-50,AO-51) but enjoying it the beams and automated tracking makes life a lot easier.
In February I’ve managed 88 QSOs in total via the satellites and a range of country’s worked too including in no real order Spain (EA7AHA), Estonia (ES0HD), France (F0FVK), Ukraine (UR5BFA), Germany (DL7UHF), Ireland (South/Northern) (EI3GYB/MI3EPN), Netherlands (PE1SAT), Luxembourg (LX1BB), Belgium (ON4HF), Switzerland (HB9SKA), Poland (SQ9JYL), Czech Rep (OK1DNT), Canary Is (EA8HB), Greece (SW2HTI), Italy (IK4RSR), Norway (LA4FPA), European Russia (RW3XL), Scotland (MM0KJG), Denmark (OZ1MY). Which I’m really pleased with as its not a bad selection of QSOs!
Apart from the satellite QSOs I enjoyed having a few QSOs in 432MHz Affiliated Societies Contest working G0ODQ, G4ODA, G3PIA using a 10element 70cms beam and ~5 Watts from the Yaesu FT-817 so even with low power its worth a go!
