WPX SSB has come and gone and I was invited again to take part with the Cray Valley Radio Society in Dartford, so I automatically knew I was going to have a great weekend!!

Leaving Saturday morning, arrived at the station in Dartford at 11am not to bad going if I do say!

The contest was great and over night I had the opportunity to work some of the DX! rather cool being called on 160m by a VE station, or W’s on 80/40m just doesnt seem to happen at home!, 20m stayed open late on saturday night and we where working stations well past 10pm!

Condx seemed rather hard going but this is due to the solar min (which really does suck!) hopefully conditions will pickup again soon.

Me operating!

Richard Sleeping… Anyone got a pin?!

I arrived back into Oxford Sunday afternoon as it was mothers day and being away all weekend probably didn’t go down to well with mum so at least she saw me for the evening part of the day!

Sadly I had university on the Monday morning and had i had only had about 8hrs sleep all weekend my body had really had a enough and could have done not having to get up at silly hours (before <11am!) so I somehow missed the first part of the lecture! (Sorry Chris if you read this!)

After using Win-Test during the weekend again I’ve finally started to like it more so the user interface its so lovely unlike some contesting applications which are on the internet these days plus at only around £25 you cant really go wrong so I’ve now added it to my software collection! 😎
